International Young Pianist
Catherine is the first Chinese female in the world to be awarded the honorary title of "British-Chinese Music Ambassador" by Queen Elizabeth II's deputy and the former Mayor of London. She won the "Brilliant Artistic Achievement Award" which is the highest honor awarded by the country of Ukraine. Over the years, she has held many concerts abroad and has become an international ambassador for many charities. Recently she has been committed to promoting Chinese folk music to the world; she also hopes to reform classical music for more people to enjoy and appreciate.
In 2015, she was awarded the "Star Of Mulan" and the "Art Achievement Award" at the Mulan Foundation Awards Ceremony, in recognition of her outstanding service to music. She was also awarded the Solo Winner at The International Youth Music Festival Competition in Bulgaria; the Best Performance Award for the Bulgaria Piano Masterpiece; the Concerto Winner at The International Youth Music Festival Competition in Bulgaria and the runner-up in the International Piano Competition in Finland. She has performed with many leading orchestras and in all of the major international music centres around the world.
TV Programme Host / Singer / DJ
Maggie Chang is a renowned TV programme host, DJ and singer. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Applied Linguistics from The University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Language Studies with Business from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and an eighth-grade pianist. She served as a programme host in Cable TV, a DJ and producer in Metro Radio and Digital Broadcasting Corporation for over a decade, and has acted as a trilingual Emcee for over 1,000 events for the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong SAR Government and numerous prestigious international corporations and brands. The local media has named her one of Hong Kong's Top 5 Emcee's in the entertainment field, "Woody Allen of the Emcee Category" and "The Most Beautiful Female DJ in Hong Kong." Over the years, Maggie has participated in local volunteer work enthusiastically and was awarded the "Einsatzmedaille der ÖASG" (Mission Medal of the ÖASG from Austrian Albert Swiss Society) in 2017.
At the age of 13, Elizabeth is already an experienced singer. She has recorded three albums with the latest, ‘Sound of an Angel’, winning the Children’s Album of the Year award in China in 2016. In the past three years, she has won five 1st prizes in international singing competitions. She has performed solo with the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, making her the first child to sing with any of China’s major orchestras. She also headlined at the Kota Kinabalu International Jazz Festival on its 10th anniversary. Elizabeth is a truly multi-talented musician. Apart from playing the piano, she is now writing her own music and lyrics. She can sing in 11 different languages and has performed in Hong Kong, China, Macau, Malaysia, Japan and Vietnam. Elizabeth hopes to be a role-model to our kids at The Hub Hong Kong and inspire them to pursue their dreams in music.
